About Time - Living In The Moment
Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe designed beautiful fluid forms of modern jewelry for the company Georg Jensen. In 1962 she was asked to create an object for the Louvre in Paris for their Musée des Arts Décoratifs exhibit. The theme given the artist was to create a piece about which they felt most ambivalent.
She created an elegant open bangle to redefine the use of the watch.
The elegant and stylish watch expressed her view points about time quite clearly. Rather than a closed watch band, the open bangle band breaks the boundaries of time. Instead become unshackled from it. Originally designed with just a second hand the watch was to remind us to be present in every second. The reflections of the mirrored face echoed back… live in the moment, now.
Decades later Vivianna artistic expression is still reminding us to live our life right now. We spend most of our time creating guilt about the past or worry about the future as the seconds of our lives are ticking away. 
Seconds lost of our lives growing into minutes, hours, days, weeks… decades. Gone, forever!
Life is about living now, being here now, as the second hand of life ticks the word now, now, now, now, now …
